I originally saw something similar to this on pinterest and of course marked it under my idea file...well, this is my version hanging the hall of my home. I think it turned out pretty sweet (no pun intended :))

Start with some dollar store peppermint disks.
Form purchased at Michaels with 40% off coupon.
It's pretty easy, just hot glue the peppermints onto the form without burning the prints off your finger tips.
I used a black satin ribbon that I had on hand so that was free but it would look even better with a grey or red and white print ribbon.
Total Cost of Wreath = $3.46 Yay!

Overall, a fun, super easy holiday wreath you could even do with your kiddo's( if you handle the hot glue gun!) and I think it looks pretty sweet~
